Korea II: UCI DH World Cup Practice Runs

Today's itinerary was just to head down over to Mona Yongpyong and see the practice runs. Whilst parking and getting tickets, we struggled with the language barrier and had a couple of miscommunications. One would have thought that in an international event like this, there'd be more somewhat English speaking staff.
We arrived early, so we thought we'd have a look around the booths. Most were not set up yet. I did find this interesting setup though.

Following that, we took the gondola to the top of the mountain, where the start of the track is.

For some reason, it escaped my mind that a MTB downhill race would be in a place with elevation. In this case, on top of a ski resort.

I was not prepared for how cold it would be. In fact, I didn't pack any clothes that were suitable for that temperature. Now add strong wind into the equation. As a certified tropical person, I was freezing up there.
Before we headed down, we got ourselves this cheese-filled pancake thing that tasted amazing.

No dumb nuts in the dough, and the cheese was coated in...cheese. My guess is that it has a cheddar core and a mozzarella coating. It stretched just right and tastes savoury at the same time. In the cold up there, this pancake was salvation.
We walked down beside the track to see how the course was like. While we were at it, I got a fair share of pictures.
After walking down the trail, we didn't do much else. Had lunch, then was tired so we spent the rest of the day leisurely.
