The server is dead.

We done cooked the server.
For a couple of days now while I was asleep, I heard beeping from my closet. It was the sound of a little Thinkcentre M93 rebooting. I thought it was odd, but maybe the power supply got interrupted or something like that. I paid it no mind.
The server was a model from 2014 and I bought it second hand a year or two back. It runs this website, a cloud service and a network video recorder. Just these three things cause the server to run hot at max load. It's a good thing isn't it? Unused computing power is wasted computing power.
Then it stopped working.
Clue #1
First thing to do was to check if it did turn back on; in which it did for a few seconds, then turned off. Swapped the power supply and it was the same behaviour. Taking it apart reveals:

Clue #2
Dry as a desert.

So the lesson of the day is: check the thermal paste on old computers. The server now lives in a "new" (second hand, manufactured 2015) Intel NUC. I got it for cheaper than a new CPU, so we'll see how it goes.
